In the past year, we have learnt to live a minimalist life. This pandemic has made us realize that we can still survive with basic living and still feel good and healthy. Much similar to the era we had some decades back when we had only home-cooked food and limited lifestyle hacks to manage us. Dining out has stopped, vacationing has stopped and loitering around in malls and in local markets have been ceased. Also, visiting Salons have become a risky affair. Personally, I’m not against visiting salons for pampering yourself or to add that feel-good factor but considering the covid spread, we can at least make it limited visits like hair-cut with our masks on. Also, the kind of footfall in Salons is untraceable. The slightest of infection can make you catch a virus. So, be careful and alert while you visit any unknown salon where safety standards have not been followed. But we can survive that too.
Its not about learning professinal hair-cut of buying beauty enhacing tools but managing few things out of your routine and you’re done. YOu can still look flawless with a healthy skin. On a personal note healthy skin doesnt mean fair skin or claiming a change in skin color but the one which shines within. These are few handy tips can be followed by everyone and then see the change:
Know Your Skin
Most of the people dont even know their real skin type. Using any product which doesnt use your skin type wont help you much. You need thick layer of moisturiser for dry skin and light one for the oily. Similarly, choosing a face wash is not about picking any random stuff from the store but do check the ingredients. Check the formula and if this has been advised for your skin type? If you have sensitive skin, please try natural products with minimum chemicals but never compromise on face wash. Washing your face twice a day is enough. Else you’re unwantedly removing extra layer of oils.
Eat Well, Hydrate and Sleep
I don’t know how much these three things weigh to each and everyone but i can’t stay well until I balance in between three things. Eat local, home-cooked food, drink a lot of water irrespective of weather conditions and never miss a sound sleep of 7 hours. Our skin reflects what we are inside so pumping up energies internally is vital and anything missing out can affect our skin texture and bring breakouts.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation is important. At least twice a week. Many people don’t use a scrub to clear dead skin cells. This is a natural process and exfoliation can actually bring shine to your skin. It’s like rejuvenating the skin and making it soft. Try using it twice a week. DO it gently and if you’ve seen some influencer rubbing sugar with coffee into your skin that doesn’t mean it will work on you. Sugar is hard and you might get rashes instead of shine. So stay away with everything which comes on your skin. Do a patch test and then use it if you’re fully satisfied. Check this body scrub to have better results.
Night Routine
If you wear makeup or travelling a lot then never sleep without washing your face. Make sure you wash it thoroughly and apply some night creme or serum to leave it overnight. Nighttime is the best time for skin to rejuvenate. Avoid chemical-based lotions overnight. Look for something natural which can be absorbed easily into your skin.
Every skin care regime needs some consistency and using the right product. There is no magic wand which can do wonders in a shorter period of time. Have patience and believe in yourself. A healthy skin is everyone’s dream but the definition might differ person to person. So, act accordingly!
