Gifting has come a long way over the years. From handcrafted items that people would make at home to the unlimited options available today. The only thing you need to consider is the budget and the liking of the person. For me, gifting is a special activity. I can’t buy anything for anyone just to exchange moments. There should be a personal touch in your gift. Consider both what the person likes and how they feel. Most of the time, it has nothing to do with the amount of money you spend but the emotions attached. Even if you give just one rose, the other person feels happy.

Secondly, choosing a gift from hundreds of things ain’t easy. The most important thing while choosing the gift is utility on the other side. If the receiver uses that gift or would end up in store room to handover someone else? We all do such things? right? All those gifts we receive at events are mostly a waste of resources and won’t be of much use. Secondly we also need to be a little more responsible towards our environment and well-being. If you look around everyone buys things they like or things they need. No one is waiting for the period to receive it as a gift or postponing it for no reason.

So, what should we do to find the right gift or whats the way we can make this event better? First of all, know the person. Their likes, age, allergies, and dislikes. A lot of people are allergic to perfumes and flowers. Be mindful when giving these things. Knowing these basic things isn’t a herculean task. It would make the other person happy that these things do matter to someone.

Instead of buying one expensive thing try buying multiple in the same budget. Everyone likes variety and sure shot reason that either of things should be useful. Also, never try gifting books if you do not know the taste of the other person. It’s an absolute big NO! Age does matter while you’re filtering out gifts. Likewise, women above 40 do not crave fancy items. they like what brings them peace. And everlasting love for showpieces, kitchen items etc hardly goes out of list. Gardeners love plants and pots, and nothing beats this when you gift them such live items. that their love for plants makes them happiest.
